The shop
One chair,
no fuss,
a good cut.
It says barber shop on the sign, but Dali cuts everybody — a fade for the guy on his lunch break, a proper cut and style for the woman after him, and the four-year-old who won't sit still.
The walls are covered in old California: the pier packed shoulder to shoulder, longboards leaning against a wall, painted soda signs from a time when a shave cost a quarter. Chairs face lit mirrors. You get a conversation if you want one and quiet if you don't.
It's a small shop on the Pacific Coast Highway with easy parking out front — which, in Malibu, counts as a feature.
